"I have the opportunity in supporting clients and families across multiple roles. I truly enjoy helping clients identify their strengths and build on them to create their own path to success. Whether it’s teaching coping skills, supporting independence, or helping families access needed services, I find it rewarding to see growth happen both in sessions and in everyday life. Being part of a client’s journey— especially when they start to see their own progress and growth—is one of the most fulfilling aspects of this work.

What I value most about my role is the ability to build genuine relationships and create a supportive environment where clients and families feel heard and empowered. Every day is different, and I appreciate the opportunity to be creative, flexible, and responsive to each family’s unique needs while helping them move toward their goals."

Hello! My name is Sandra. I was born in Virginia and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. During COVID at the end of 2020, I took my stimulus…and a leap of faith and moved me and my 4 kids to Idaho to get away from a bad situation.

Around 2022, after what I thought was ample recovery time from my last relationship, I entered a new relationship to later be told I should see a therapist to heal the wounds I was still operating from. About a year into therapy and feeling my life was really blossoming, my therapist suggested I go into peer support. On top of becoming a Certified Peer Support Specialist, I also applied to become a Certified Family Support Specialist and Youth Support Specialist

I can tell you within the scope of my own life, I have faced mental health struggles for myself and my oldest daughter. I have overcome drug addiction and helped my oldest through her own addictions. And then when my youngest son was diagnosed with Autism level 1 & 2, the need to help him through his behavioral health got added to the plate. So I understand firsthand what it is to be a single parent, always in recovery from mental health and addiction, trying to navigate to a better quality of a shared life for my 2 kids who also struggle with mental and behavioral health obstacles with my other 2 kids who are neurotypical.

I believe at the end of the day we all just want to be happy and have stability. I am fortunate to have had support when I needed so I could learn to manage my own obstacles and keep progressing in ways I never knew were possible. And now today I have the privilege to also help individuals and families navigate their own struggles and help them feel seen and supported as they find their sovereignty – I believe despite our hardships and obstacles, we are really so much more capable than we think.

As a single mom with 4 kids, I’m a pretty busy lady. When I’m not at work here or taking care of my kids, I also run a side business. But we can’t pour from an empty cup, so when I’m not working on top of working, I love to read kooky esoteric stuff, go to the gym and fix up my house as a big-time DIY’er building media built-ins, accent walls…just making my house a home.
